Hi! My name is Jules and I’m fighting to get my life back.

Before my accident, I was an adventure seeker, former Appalachian Trail thru-hiker, rock climber, and deeply involved in the arts and outdoor life. I had no physical limitations. After a traumatic car accident, my health changed dramatically, and I have since been diagnosed with multiple complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions that affect my daily life.

My Diagnoses

• Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (nerve entrapment at the brachial plexus)

• Post-concussion syndrome with brainstem and cerebellar involvement

• Dysautonomia (autonomic nervous system dysfunction)

• Cervicogenic headaches

• Cervical instability (48% loss of function in neck and shoulders)

• Disc bulge/herniation

These conditions cause severe pain, dizziness, nausea, and neurological dysfunction, leaving me unable to work at my previous capacity and limiting basic activities like driving, lifting, or standing for long periods.

Treatments & Expenses

I have pursued every recommended treatment, including:

• Neurological rehabilitation (2–3 times weekly, plus intensive programs)

• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (20+ hours recommended)

• Physical therapy focused on postural retraining and autonomic regulation

• Imaging, specialist visits, and travel to out-of-state facilities

Despite some progress, my care is ongoing and extremely costly. Insurance covers only a fraction of the recommended therapies. Out-of-pocket costs already exceed thousands of dollars, and upcoming treatments will require significant additional financial support.
