On their way across the country to report for a new military assignment, a dedicated soldier and his loyal dog were struck by an 18-wheeler semi-truck at highway speeds in South Dakota. In a split second, their vehicle — packed with everything they owned — was completely destroyed. By the grace of God, both survived the crash, but they were left stranded, shaken, and with almost nothing left.

With the government shutdown now in effect, access to immediate support and relocation assistance has been delayed — leaving them without a home base, transportation, or resources to recover. Nearly all personal belongings, essential gear, and household goods were lost in the wreck.

This GoFundMe has been created to help this soldier and his dog get back on their feet — to cover short-term housing, transportation, basic necessities, emergency travel to reunite with family, and to begin replacing the items destroyed in the crash. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward rebuilding their lives after this unimaginable setback.
