From Saving Lives to Fighting for Hers: Help Nurse with ALS
Donation protected
Stacey Farley, a 30-year Sharp employee and incredible Mary Birch Advanced Life Support NICU Nurse of 26 years, faces one of life’s biggest challenges. She was recently given the devastating diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. ALS is a fatal neuromuscular disease that will eventually leave Stacey too weak to talk, move, and even breathe. There is no cure for ALS, and after watching her biological mother pass away from ALS, Stacey knows all too well how difficult this next chapter in her life will be.
If anyone can meet this kind of adversity with positivity and strength, it’s Stacey. Despite an average life span of 2-5 years after the onset of symptoms, Stacey has big plans to focus on doing whatever she can to preserve her body’s ability to function and experience life to its fullest with her closest family and friends, especially her 16-year-old daughter Kara.
Stacey has had to abruptly end her 32-year nursing career to focus on her health. While we may no longer see Stacey working alongside us, saving babies, we hope to let her know how deeply we care about her. Our goal is to make the time Stacey has the easiest and best it can be through financial support.
Please join us in supporting Stacey!
