From Saved to Sent – Gracie-Mae’s Mission to Germany

My Story: From New Age to New Life

Hi, I’m Gracie-Mae—and this is a story of radical transformation.

On December 17th, 2023, I encountered Jesus. Not in a church. Not in a program. But in my apartment—after a lifetime of searching for truth in everything but Him.

I spent years of my life deep in the New Age—tarot cards, spirit guides, crystals, psychedelics, you name it. I thought I was free, but underneath it all I was addicted, full of anxiety, confusion, and spiritual darkness I couldn’t explain. I chased healing through fitness, success, sex and even my dream job teaching at SoulCycle—but nothing could fill the void.

Then one night, everything changed.

After years of trying to save myself, my brother and I sat down in our living room, and he said something that shook me to my core:

“Gracie, I think everything we’ve believed is a lie. I think Jesus is the truth.”

In that moment, the presence of God filled the room. It was as if a veil lifted from my eyes. I knew it instantly—Jesus was real, and He had been pursuing me all along. That night, we wept and purged our entire apartment of everything tied to the darkness we’d invited in. And we gave our lives to Him.

-How God Set It All in Motion-

Fast forward to April of 2024—five months into following Jesus—I stumbled across a youtube video... an interview of Brandon Lake. At the time, I had no idea how much this video would shift my life.

That video led me to discover Oceans Edge School of Worship at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. I applied almost immediately, feeling a deep pull I couldn’t ignore. I didn’t have it all figured out, but I knew I wanted more of Jesus—and I wanted to be around others who were chasing Him, too.

Just a few months later and I moved to South Florida to attend Oceans Edge, and this season has been nothing short of life-changing.

Here, I’ve grown deeper in my relationship with Jesus, strengthened my songwriting skills, and—most unexpectedly—found my calling to missions. It was through Oceans Edge that I first heard about Steiger Mission School, and everything just clicked.

-Why I’m Fundraising-

This summer, I’ve been accepted to attend the Steiger Mission School in Germany—a 10-week discipleship and outreach training that equips young people to share Jesus with the global youth culture—people just like I was: spiritually curious, but far from God.

Steiger reaches people outside the walls of the church—in clubs, music festivals, universities, and creative spaces—and teaches how to bring the Gospel with boldness, relevance, and love.

This is the next step God is calling me into.
