From Rubble to Hope: Help Me Rebuild My Life After War

Donation protected
Before the war, I lived a life filled with hope and aspirations. I was about to start a new chapter with the love of my life, my fiancée. We were busy preparing our home with love and hope, dreaming of a future filled with joy. Everything was going perfectly well.

The war changed everything

The home I worked on with so much care turned into rubble. We lost everything. With no access to electricity or the internet, my career as a software engineer came to a sudden halt. All the savings I had accumulated over the years disappeared in an instant. Today, I live in a harsh reality, trapped between the debris and the heav

bts that life’s circumstances forced me to accumulate. Even my personal life has been affected, as my relationship is on the verge of breaking apart due to the unbearable hardships of war..

My Journey into Software Engineering...
After completing my Bachelor's degree in Mobile Computing with distinction, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and anticipation for the future. Graduating with a "Very Good" rating was a significant achievement, especially given the challenges I faced along the way. But the path wasn’t easy—after university, I spent an entire year training with different companies, gaining skills, and pushing through moments of doubt. Every day, I faced the harsh reality of the job market, where opportunities seemed scarce and the competition fierce.

Yet, my determination never wavered. I knew that the road to my first job was long, but I kept believing in my dream. Finally, after a year of hard work, I received an offer for my first real position as a software engineer. That moment felt like a reward for my perseverance and patience. It was a new beginning, the beginning of my career and a dream I had worked so tirelessly to achieve. However, the war and its destruction have forced me to stop in my tracks, but I will not give up. I will rebuild, and I will continue to chase my dream.

The Struggle Continues...
The war is not over, and with it, the suffering of displacement continues. Moving from one place to another, always searching for safety, yet even the places we were displaced to were barely livable. I’ve been displaced five times during this period, and each time, the conditions were worse than the last.

The tents we lived in offered no protection from the scorching sun or the freezing winter. Life in these tents became a daily struggle. Water was scarce, and food became a rare luxury. When the rains came, our tents leaked and collapsed under the force of strong winds—offering little more than a flimsy illusion of shelter.

Every time we moved, the hardship intensified. There were unforgettable moments—long distances to walk just to find water, long waits for any form of food, and constant worry about our families and loved ones, who endured the same fate. The suffering was not just about losing our home but about losing our sense of safety and our sense of hope.

Today, the situation remains unchanged, and the war has not yet ended. I still live with my family in difficult conditions, waiting for the day when we can stop moving. I still dream of rebuilding my life, rebuilding the home that was destroyed by the war, and marrying the woman I love after our plans were put on hold due to these harsh circumstances.

My family’s suffering
On top of everything, my family situation makes displacement even harder. My father is disabled and cannot move easily, while my mother is ill and suffers from hearing problems. Every displacement was an extra tragedy for us, as moving them through such harsh conditions was a painful challenge beyond what I could bear.

I need your support now more than ever

Every donation can help restore a little hope and give me the chance to rebuild my life from scratch. With your support, I can:
• Pay off €5,000 in war-related debts
• Rebuild our destroyed home with €15,000
• Regain my ability to work again as a software engineer and build a stable life for my family

Your donation — no matter the amount — can make a life-changing difference for me and my parents. With your help, I can start piecing together what the war has torn apart. I can rebuild our home, restart my career, and provide my parents with the dignity and care they desperately need.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who extends a helping hand.
