Hi, I’m Rhiannon, I first met Liam in May 2021 when he started working for us. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of watching his family grow from one to two children, and getting to know his incredible wife, Tarra.

Liam is a devoted dad, a loving partner, and one of the most skilled and reliable operators on our team. He is hardworking, humble, and the kind of man who would never ask for help — which makes this all the more heartbreaking.

In July this year, Liam went in for what should have been a routine, minor procedure during a quiet patch at work, planning to take just a couple of weeks to recover. What followed was unimaginable.

That simple surgery spiraled into a life-threatening ordeal. Liam has since endured 10 additional surgeries, multiple CT scans, a hospital transfer, septicaemia, induced comas, and months of grueling rehabilitation. Just as it seemed he was finally on the path to recovery, and life was beginning to resemble a new normal, he is now faced with more surgery ahead.

The toll on him physically, emotionally, and mentally — and on Tarra and their young children — has been enormous. Liam is still unable to work, and the financial strain on the family is mounting. This is a family who would never ask for help themselves, which is why we’re stepping in to support them now.

The goal is to provide some relief during this ongoing, terrifying journey — to help cover everyday expenses, medical costs, and the countless challenges that come with caring for Liam and his children during this prolonged recovery.
