Hi Friends!
I’m back and it’s time to celebrate! This December marks five years, and I’ll get to ring the bell for remission!
These five years haven’t been without challenges. One of the biggest has been managing lymphedema. I’ve tried everything and still do these things: rebounding, vibration plate, and air compression, though they haven't worked well. Since moving to South Carolina, I’ve built a new medical team. On their advice, I started working with a physical therapist, and last week we began bandaging my right (dominant) arm. After just two days, we saw significant improvement!
The next step is 2–4 more weeks of bandaging and then transitioning to custom sleeves and gloves for daytime and nighttime wear. These garments are essential but very costly. Insurance only covers two custom garments per year, yet daily wear requires multiple sets to rotate.
After being unemployed for over a year and without an HSA to help cover these medical expenses, I felt prompted in prayer to create this GoFundMe. It isn’t easy to ask, but I’m putting pride aside to reach out for support.
Any donation would mean so much.
Here’s how the funds will be used:
- 2 Daytime Sleeves
- 3 Daytime/Nighttime Gloves
- 2 Nighttime Sleeves
- 6 Lymphatic Massages (biweekly)
Thank you for celebrating this remission milestone with me and helping me continue this healing journey.
