Hi, my name is Haya and I’m fundraising for my sweet one-year-old cat, Minku. Just a few days ago, she was perfectly healthy, playful, and full of life. Out of nowhere, she developed sudden facial paralysis on the right side. She can’t blink her right eye, her right ear isn’t responding, and she’s struggling to chew and eat normally.

After multiple vet visits, the neurologist suspects a polyp or growth affecting her facial nerves (cranial nerves 7 & 8). To confirm this, Minku urgently needs a CT scan, which may lead to life saving surgery. Unfortunately, the costs are extremely high, and I cannot afford them on my own. The CT scan alone has been quoted to me for $2200-$2400 CAD. Currently, we are fundraising for the CT scan.

If surgery is needed after the scan, the cost can reach up to $6000 total, we will then fundraise for the surgery after confirmed diagnosis.

Minku is not only my baby, she’s also my best friend and lifesaver. I first got her as a gift from my family when I lived alone in Ottawa, far from home. I was very lonely back then, but Minku brought me so much love and joy, she made those six months the best time of my life.

Since moving back home, Minku has become inseparable from her older sister, Yuki. The two of them are bonded like family, keeping each other company and filling our home with happiness. Saving Minku means saving Yuki from losing her best friend and ensuring our little family stays whole. Minku is only turning 1 this month and she has her whole life ahead; Let's help her get there together :)
