From paralysis to progress — help Jason take his next steps

Donation protected
On January 1st, 2025, Jason began feeling stiffness and tingling in his legs. Within just a few days, the symptoms spread rapidly — by January 5th, he was completely paralyzed from the neck down and unable to move, speak, or even fully open his eyes.

After multiple tests and hospital stays, Jason was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS - AMSAN variant) — a rare autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system attacks the nerves, causing severe weakness, paralysis, and intense pain.

Jason spent a month in the ICU, completely immobile, fighting through one of the scariest moments of his life. Once stabilized, he was transferred to an acute rehabilitation facility where a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and therapists began helping him slowly regain control of his body.

After three months of inpatient rehab, Jason was finally able to return home — but his journey is far from over. Recovery from GBS is long, unpredictable, and requires intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy, along with specialized equipment and medical care.

Over the past 10 months, Jason’s determination has been nothing short of inspiring. He has:
• Come off all medications
• Regained his ability to speak
• Learned to sit up independently
• Regained some arm and leg movement
• Begun taking his first steps with a walking aid

Despite everything, Jason continues to work full-time to make ends meet, while his husband has had to leave his job to become his full-time caregiver. The emotional and financial toll on their family has been enormous.

Your support will help Jason continue his recovery and regain his independence. Every contribution — big or small — will make a meaningful difference in his life.

Funds will go toward:
• Medical bills and hospital fees
• Ongoing rehabilitation therapy
• Leg and foot braces (AFO) to help Jason walk again
• Essential medical equipment
• Unforeseen expenses related to his recovery

Please consider donating and sharing Jason’s story. Your kindness and generosity will help the Rogers family navigate this incredibly challenging journey and bring Jason one step closer to a full recovery.
