Hi, I’m Sadie — I’m 18, freshly graduated, and about to take on one of the biggest adventures of my life: hiking the Appalachian Trail.
This journey is more than just an adventure. Over the past three years, I’ve faced intense battles with my mental health, spending time in and out of hospitals and residential treatment facilities. It’s been a long road, but today I’m proud to say I’m in a stable, healthy place where I can truly take care of myself and look forward to the future.
This hike represents a major milestone in my recovery — a chance to reconnect with myself, rebuild my strength, and return to what I’ve always loved: nature. The trail will be a space for growth, reflection, and proving to myself just how far I’ve come.
After completing this journey, I’ll be starting college at my dream school, the University of Tampa. This transition marks a new chapter in my life, and this hike is my way of honoring everything it took to get here.
I’m raising funds to help cover essential gear, food, travel, and safety costs for the trail. Any support means more than I can express — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my story.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
— Sadie
