I present to you the story of the young Yemeni man, "Atef," an ambitious young man born with a disability who never gave up and continued his struggle under extremely harsh humanitarian and economic conditions.
This campaign was launched to help him start a small business that would provide him and his family with a decent life. This was after job opportunities were closed to him, not only because of his disability, but also as a result of the economic collapse in Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world.
Personal Story:
I am Atef. I was born with a disability, but I never gave up.
Since my childhood, life has been a battle. I started school at the age of six despite the pain, defying the looks of pity, and completing my education until I earned a Bachelor s degree in Business Administration. I dreamed of a job, a future, and a decent life.
But the war in Yemen has stolen all our dreams...
The situation deteriorated, and opportunities faded. I knocked on companies doors many times, submitting my resume repeatedly, but the response was always, "Leave your file and we ll call you back." No one ever did.
I began to wonder: Is my disability the reason?
Is it poverty? Or is it the exhausted nation?
Then I realized the painful truth:
In my situation, the government doesn t have the tools or capabilities to provide me with a job, due to the difficult circumstances facing the country and the entire region.
As for companies, they are barely surviving and don t have the capacity to employ people with disabilities, even if they are qualified.
With your support, we can give him the opportunity he was denied for years.
Every contribution—no matter how small—makes a real difference in his life.
Let s not forget that I come from Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, where millions live below the poverty line and lack the most basic necessities for a decent life.
But despite everything, I didn t lose hope.
I thought about starting a small project through which I could build my future, achieve some of my ambitions, support myself and my family, and live with dignity.
I come from a very poor family and live in harsh living conditions. But I believe that God will not let me down, and that the goodness in your hearts will not let me down.
Help me start over...
Help me live with dignity...
Every support from you is not just a gift; it is a gift of a whole life.
Finally, I would like to add that by granting me the opportunity to establish this project, you are not only contributing to saving a disabled young man from poverty, but also opening a small door to strengthening the ailing Yemeni economy. With this stance, you are honoring the history of sincere humanitarian support that the Yemeni people have provided and continue to provide, with all they can, to the brotherly Palestinian people.
This campaign supports people like Atef, the forgotten, the maimed and marginalized, condemned to survive endless wars.
