Hello, my name is Nemo, and I’m a stray cat trying my best to survive on the streets.
For the past year, I’ve been blessed with kindness. Two wonderful women from a local women´s shelter have been feeding me, showing me the warmth and care I never expected to receive. Because of them, I learned that humans can be gentle, loving, and safe.
I am friendly, affectionate, and I truly love people — but lately, life has become very hard.
I am living with a painful condition called feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCGS) — a severe and aggressive inflammation in my mouth. Eating hurts. Swallowing hurts. Even soft food causes so much pain that I often walk away hungry.
My body needs food, but my pain keeps me from eating.
And without help, the situation will only get worse.
Since the kind ladies who care for me are in a very difficult financial situation themselves, they reached out to my new guardian angel, Cecilia Muench. She has already paid for my vet visit, my vaccines, medication, and food. She is trying everything she can to save me. But the treatment I need is much bigger than what one person can manage alone.
The vet gave me antibiotic and anti-inflammatory injections to give me temporary relief, but they will only help for a short time.
To have a real chance at a pain-free life, I need periodontal surgery and likely multiple tooth extractions.
Yes — I may lose my teeth.
But without treatment, I will lose my ability to eat… and eventually, my life.
I know I may just be one cat among many.
We may never meet.
You may never hear my voice or feel my purr.
But I have hope — because kind humans have already shown me that compassion exists.
And with your help, I could have a future filled with comfort instead of pain, safety instead of uncertainty, and love instead of loneliness.
If you are able to give — whether a little or a lot — your generosity could change the course of my life.
“Saving one cat will not change the world,
but for that one cat, the world will change forever.”

Thank you for reading my story.
Thank you for caring.
With love,
Nemo
