From NMHU to Greece: Nayelli's Marine Conservation Mission

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

My name is Nayelli Terrazas,

Daughter of Marisol Valdez-Tapia(Jake Tapia) and Jose Terrazas,

Granddaughter of +Richard and Rose Valdez, and the Great Granddaughter of +Henrey and +Esther DeHerrera.

I am a full-time NMHU student studying Wildlife Biology and Conservation with a deep commitment to marine conservation. I'm thrilled to share that I've been accepted into a life-changing Marine Conservation Internship in Samos, Greece. This is my chance to gain invaluable fieldwork experience and contribute directly to protecting the ocean's most vulnerable species.

The summer of 2026, I will join a 8-week hands-on program. My time will be spent participating in critical activities vital to my studies, all aimed at protecting endangered species in the Aegean Sea. This experience is a crucial step towards my dream career but it comes with a price.

I am fully committed to making my dream a reality by working part-time and pursuing scholarships and grants. Your contribution directly supports my education, fuels my essential marine conservation research, and helps make a tangible difference.
