During a dance workshop in Benin on june 2025 , I met filmmaker Alison Felicite from Martinique /France — a meeting that turned into an unexpected creative journey.

She began filming me spontaneously, capturing moments of truth and movement. “We must finish this film,” she said, “even if we are far apart.”

I am Shatha Yassin. My art explores the body as a language — transforming pain, memory, and resistance into dance.

Our project bridges my country and Martinique, weaving stories of distance, friendship, and hope.
