From MI to the Cayman Islands: A Future Dentist’s Journey!
Donation protected
I was born and raised in Oxford, Michigan, and am currently a dedicated student at Saginaw Valley State University, where I am pursuing a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. I have maintained a 4.000 GPA while being on the President’s List and playing for SVSU’s women’s club lacrosse team. Outside of academics and athletics, I love to read and volunteer at local soup kitchens in Saginaw, as giving back to the community is something I value deeply.
I am beyond grateful to have been accepted to a study abroad program in the Cayman Islands—an opportunity that will strengthen my biological foundation and bring me one step closer to my dream of attending dental school to become a general dentist. I leave for the trip June 4th, 2025 and I have been working hard to fund this experience. I have diligently saved $2,000 from my part-time job, and my parents are contributing $2,000 but I still need $4,000 more to cover the remaining costs without taking out a loan.
The total cost of the program is $7971.30, which includes:
-Tuition and program fees
-Housing
-Travel expenses
-Living expenses
This program will give me invaluable hands-on experience that will prepare me for dental school, and every dollar donated brings me closer to that goal. Any support—big or small—means the world to me and will help me take this next step toward becoming a future healthcare provider. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in my journey!
