Last night I was in excruciating pain and couldn’t keep anything down. No matter how many times I threw up my stomach seemed to never empty. I was so weak by this morning that I was unable to walk so an ambulance transported me back to the hospital. It was discovered that two incisional hernias were causing blockages in my intestines making it impossible for me to hold down the fluids that my body was producing naturally. Another surgery was performed this afternoon to correct the hernias and reinforce the area with mesh.

I now have ten incisions across my abdomen and are forced to take more time off work. 

8/16 Last week, I returned to work after several weeks of unpaid maternity leave. Just as we were beginning to get back on our feet, I was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder.

Between the back to school expenses, missed work, and the costs of caring for a newborn, our family is now facing an overwhelming financial burden. We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat, but right now, we need help to cover essential bills and keep our home running during this recovery period.
