Help My Daughter Fight Cancer & Long COVID

Life has thrown more than its fair share of challenges at my daughter, Buffie, but she has never stopped fighting. In 2014, she battled cancer and survived. In 2022, she was hit with long COVID—a debilitating illness that kept her out of work for 10 months and only able to work part-time for the next 16 months. Just as she was trying to rebuild her life, she received the devastating news in February 2025: she has two types of breast cancer.

For the past two years, Buffie has been navigating a broken healthcare system, where long COVID treatments were often dismissed or unavailable. She had no choice but to fund much of her care out-of-pocket, spending tens of thousands of dollars on alternative treatments and specialists. Between 2022 and 2024 alone, she paid over $15,000 in insurance deductibles, not including additional medical expenses.

Now, with another battle ahead, she faces not only the emotional and physical toll of cancer but also the overwhelming financial burden of treatment. She is still not back to full-time work, and with mounting medical bills and lost wages, she needs our support.
