Hello, I'm a California State graduate in psychology, currently working at an Oakland high school as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I have a drive to establish a long-term career in education because teaching while learning new things is a strong passion of mine as a curious person. I plan to teach abroad in other under-resourced communities to spread the skills I've gained, along with learning new ones, so that when I return with different tools, my impact on my students doesn't just make minimal change but drastic change. My love for teaching stemmed from my desire to find solutions to drawbacks I faced growing up as a minority in an under-resourced community. Working in these environments allows me to connect with parts of my childhood while offering the specialized love and support I didn’t have a lot of growing up.

A career in a school environment puts me in the position to naturally be a relatable, positive role model where I can educate others on my strengths and learn from others simultaneously. This is why I am asking for your support. I am currently enjoying my time working with aspiring youth in my local community, but I recognize how my impact is limited because of my own limited experience and resources. For the past 4 years, I have been able to make an impact on students I've worked with locally, but now I aspire to continue my growth in a country I have dreamed about since I was little.

The money you all are helping me raise will go directly towards the teacher's training program, plane tickets, and Spanish immersion course.
