Hi! My name is Maggie Tarbox. I am a retired teacher from Connecticut USA. Abdullah Khaled and his family have become very dear to my heart. I never cease to be amazed by the resilience of the Palestinian people in Gaza. Abdullah has lost his home and has been displaced multiple times. All he wants is to keep his family safe during the unimaginable horror of this genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Abdullah's Story
"I was a lawyer. Now, I’m just trying to feed my family."
Abdullah once lived a dignified life in Jabalia, northern Gaza — a father, a husband, and a lawyer with his own office and home. But since the war began on October 7, 2023, everything has been torn apart.
️ Home Reduced to Nothing
Abdullah’s house, once partially damaged, has now been completely destroyed by bombing. Nothing remains — no walls, no roof, no belongings. His law office was also reduced to rubble, leaving him with no source of income, no safety, and no stability.
He, his wife, and their two young children now live entirely without shelter, forced to depend on tents and makeshift coverings, constantly displaced and vulnerable to the scorching heat, freezing nights, and unrelenting airstrikes.
Abdullah has lost his home, his office, his livelihood, and many loved ones — but he refuses to give up hope for his children.
