Hi everyone, my name is Abigail, and I’m a senior at Newport Harbor High School with a deep passion for public policy and law. Over the past few years, I’ve worked hard both inside and outside the classroom—balancing a rigorous academic schedule with leadership roles in theatre, jobs to support myself, and building a platform to engage others in meaningful conversations about current issues.
One of the most important things I’ve learned is that opportunities aren’t always evenly distributed—but they can be expanded. That belief is what drives me. Whether I’m managing backstage productions, working long shifts, or creating content that sparks discussion, I’ve always tried to build something bigger than myself.
Recently, I was accepted to Boston University—an opportunity I’ve dreamed about and worked toward for years. It’s a place where I can continue growing academically and personally, especially as I prepare for a future in law and public service.
While I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, the financial reality of attending Boston University is significant. Even with some financial aid, the cost of tuition, housing, and living expenses adds up quickly and places a heavy burden on my family and me.
I’m raising funds to help cover:
* Tuition and university fees
* Housing and meal plans
* Travel expenses (including my semester in London)
* Books, academic materials, and daily living costs
Every contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward making this education possible and allowing me to fully focus on my studies and future goals.
