My name is Kazzandra, I am a sophomore at WestView High School in Los Angeles, California. I was recently selected to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Law & CSI program in Washington, D.C.
Let me give you a brief history about myself. Since I was little I imagined myself being a doctor and helping the sick get better. Even the kids who bullied me growing up. I wanted to help regardless of how they treated me.
As I got older i started loving the study of Forensics. The study of a crime scene and determining the cause of death or what was used is very fascinating to me. I would like to work within the field of forensics for a couple of years and then move to my ideal dream job of being a coroner. I know not many people find that job appealing but I want to be able to help solve crimes and help bring closure to families. Also I want to help those who no longer can speak for themselves and bring them justice. I want to be like Dr. G, Medical Examiner. She totally rocks!!
Currently I am taking English, PreCalculus, Biology, History, Spanish and Computers. I aced all my classes last semester.
I am proud of my 4.0 Grade Point Average and enjoy participating in extracurricular activities, like basketball, softball and volleyball.
I would love to go to DC so I can get an opportunity to experience what my plans for the future are.
In my spare time I volunteer at CSULA . For the past 3 years I have volunteered for the College of Business and Economics Preview Day.
For the past 5 years during their Epic Toy and Food Drive I have managed to fill up almost two boxes of stuffed animals. I was happy to know I could bring smiles to children who may be less fortunate then me.
Remember any donation whether big or small will greatly be appreciated. Thank you so much for your support. :)
