On April 9, 2026, my 35-year-old son Kyle passed away. With his birthday coming up on September 15th, I want to honor his memory in a way that reflects his caring spirit and favorite things. Kyle always loved sunflowers, so I plan to include plantable sunflower seeds in care packages for homeless men, along with essentials like underwear, socks, snacks, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant.

Men often take a back seat to women and children when it comes to support, and while that’s understandable, I want to focus on helping men who are often overlooked. I’m researching bulk purchases to stretch every dollar and connect with local men’s charities to distribute these items. The possibilities are endless, and I hope to bring comfort and dignity to those in need.
