From Kennel to Cowgirl: Help Us Save Anastasia
Donation protected
Anastasia’s time runs out Wednesday, July 2nd at 5PM.
She’s a 10-year-old German Shepherd with tired eyes, worn paws, and a heart that still lights up for treats and kindness. She came into the shelter with a little dog who got adopted without her. Since then, she’s been waiting. Confused. Alone. And now, she’s out of time. When I saw her post I knew I couldn’t let her story stop there.
We’re rolling out two hours from our rescue to bust Anastasia out of doggy jail on Tuesday at 1PM. This girl doesn’t know it yet, but she’s about to become the newest Rowdy Sister. Tuesday night, she’ll be coming home to wide open pastures. We’re talking peace, a soft bed, and a whole lotta love—the kind of life every senior dog deserves.
She’s showing signs of mobility issues, so we’ll be scheduling her vet appointment first thing to get her looked over and keep her comfortable. Funds raised will go toward her vet care, meds, senior supplies, and anything else she needs to live out her golden years like the queen she is.
This is what we do at Rowdy Sisters Rescue Co.—ride in, raise a little hell, and rewrite endings.
Help us bring her home. Saddle up.
We also want to take a moment to shout out the hardworking staff and volunteers at Stanislaus County Animal Services. These shelters are overwhelmed—facing an impossible flood of dogs coming in every single day. Euthanasia is never an easy decision, and it’s heartbreaking across the board. But the truth is, this isn’t about a “bad shelter”—this is about a broken system and too many dogs needing help.
Anastasia wouldn’t be getting this second chance if it weren’t for the amazing volunteers who’ve been showing up, speaking up, and advocating for her day after day. We see you, and we’re grateful.
