My name is Elijah Pinto, and I created this GoFundMe campaign to support incarcerated men and women in discovering and developing their full potential. The goal is to encourage them to use their talents to reshape their lives, so that upon release from jails, prisons, or institutions, they can return to society as empowered, productive citizens.

Statistics show that 92% of all formerly incarcerated individuals will eventually be released. Unfortunately, the reality is that most of them lack access to the resources and support systems necessary to break the cycle of incarceration.

This initiative is about offering hope, guidance, and opportunity—helping individuals find purpose and equipping them with the tools to build a better future.

FULL DISCLOSURE:

I have real-life experience with individuals who were once formally incarcerated and, upon release, became highly successful. See, my father, uncle, cousin, and now my brother were all incarcerated for serious crimes and ended up spending a significant amount of time locked up. But once they were released, they all became highly successful. My father became a Baptist Minister; my uncle is a Deacon who started an outreach program for Young men and Women with the YMCA of America, and he owns and operates a highly successful transportation business in the City of Brockton (MA) that provides services locally and nationally. My cousin went to college and entered the Funeral industry where he works throughout Massachusetts. Unfortunately, my brother is still incarcerated. However, when I tell people about my family and how I got into Prison & Justice reform. They all seem to ask the same question, “How come your family members became so successful while others seem to have a difficult time staying out of Prison?”

PRISON/JUSTICE REFORM:

I've learned through intimate conversations with my family, even my brother (who is still locked up and on his way home).

The two (2) main ingredients that every formally incarcerated person needs to succeed in life are the same ingredients “WE, Everyday People” (who never got in trouble with the law) need...First, determination and, Second, the help and support to meet that success. There is not one successful human being on this earth who can claim they never received help from another individual on their way to success. Because everyone has had some form of help, even if that assistance was only moral support.

So, I've taken it upon myself to do just that. By showcasing the talents of incarcerated citizens, giving them a fighting chance once released, to using their talents as a guide towards success. I DO NOT GET PAID FOR THIS! I do it for free and out of love, because it's first my duty as an American Citizen to help other citizens who “want the help?” Next, I do it as a son, cousin, nephew, and brother of those I love who once struggled to become better human beings.

RECENT EFFORTS:

I am working right now with one artist who is incarcerated. He is phenomenally talented; it is almost unbelievable. I started with this artist because he happens to be my brother. THE REQUEST:

I have many more artists after him to showcase. But I'm attempting to raise $2,500 so we can:

1) Hire a digital promoter

2) Put an ad in a Music Magazine

These efforts would help spread the word about my Prison Reform efforts and display the talents of this and many more artists to come in the near future.

REACHING OUT:

I would also warmly invite anyone with digital marketing skills, digital promotion skills, digital animation skills, or even music management skills to join me in this endeavor. My only request is for those kindred spirits who would like to contribute their talents to this worthy cause, that they are 100% dedicated and focused on actually producing results. So far, I've had a few unfortunate experiences where individuals were not sincere about helping with this project.
