4 Clots, 3 Surgeries, 1 Fighter — Support Kara’s Journey

Hi! My name is Kara Epps.

On April 9, 2025, I was hospitalized with a massive blood clot extending from my abdomen to my ankle, along with a life-threatening pulmonary embolism in my left lung.

What followed was a harrowing month-long stay in the hospital—three surgeries, time in the ICU, and two additional clots that pushed my body and spirit to the limit.

Despite being discharged, my recovery has been anything but simple. On May 16th, I was diagnosed with yet another blood clot — marking the fourth in just over a month.

This ongoing medical emergency has left me unable to work, and the financial strain of medical bills, medications, and daily living expenses is becoming overwhelming.
