Hi, my name is Derill, and I'm reaching out for help to rebuild my life. Last year, I had to undergo a major surgery that left me in the hospital for months. Unfortunately, during this time, I lost my home. As a 68-year-old disabled man, I've been struggling ever since, trying to make sense of what happened and find a way to start over.

I'm doing my best to survive, but it's been incredibly hard. I have a van that I use to get around, but it’s in desperate need of repairs. Without it, I don’t have a way to move or access resources like healthcare, food, and work opportunities.

Right now, I'm in need of help to get back on my feet. The funds I’m raising will go toward:

Securing an apartment: I need a safe, stable place to call home. A roof over my head is the first step toward regaining some sense of normalcy.

Repairing my van: Without my van, I’m essentially stuck. It needs work so I can continue looking for employment and get to doctors' appointments.
