Help Drew Fight an Aggressive Spinal Cancer

Hi, my name is Naeesha, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Robyn and her incredible son, Andrew “Drew” Lucky.

Drew is 18 years old, an honor roll student who just graduated high school with plans to attend Howard University this fall. He’s smart, kind, funny, and full of life. But his world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) — a rare and aggressive spinal cancer.

Since the diagnosis, Drew has been hospitalized and is now unable to walk. His pain is constant, and the tumor is affecting critical parts of his spine. He’s fighting every day with so much strength — but this cancer is cruel, fast-moving, and difficult to treat.

Robyn, a single mom and full-time accountant, is currently on unpaid leave (FMLA) to care for her son around the clock. She receives no public assistance, and the medical bills, travel costs, daily care expenses, and basic living needs are overwhelming. Her job recently informed her that it’s time to begin discussing outpatient care — a phrase no mother ever wants to hear when her son is still fighting to survive.

We are raising funds to:

• Help cover ongoing medical care

• Support home modifications and equipment Drew may need

• Ease the financial strain so Robyn can stay by her son’s side

• Prepare for what may come next — whatever that may be
