From Homelessness to Healing: Zion's Story
Donation protected
**Hello, my name is Zion (Kristin).**
For over 10 years, I battled addiction to drugs and alcohol, living homeless on the streets of Phoenix. My life seemed hopeless until 3.5 months ago when The MASA Project Community Team found me outside a 7/11, weighing only 94 pounds.
Today, I weigh 130 pounds, and I’m not just surviving—I’m thriving. I’m sober and taking steps every day toward building the life I always dreamed of. The MASA Project has been a lifeline, offering me not only support and advice but also a community that keeps me in their thoughts and prayers.
Now, I’m ready to take my next big step: regaining my smile. My teeth are in such bad condition that I’m often in pain, and it’s hard to move forward when people see my appearance and only associate me with the addiction I’ve worked so hard to leave behind. I want to be seen for the strong, determined woman I am becoming, not as a reflection of my past.
I need your help to make this happen. Whether it’s $1 or $500, every single donation brings me closer to restoring my smile and reclaiming my confidence. For someone like me, who has fought so hard to overcome so much, every bit of support means the world.
To everyone reading this: thank you. Your kindness, whether through a donation or just taking the time to hear my story, gives me strength. One day, I’ll fully recover, and my comeback will be even more incredible than the journey I’m on now.
A huge thank you to Erik and The MASA Project for standing by me and going above and beyond to keep me on track. I wouldn’t be here without their unwavering support.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
**With love and hope,**
Kristi, AKA Zion
