Help Muhannad Abdel-Ilah and his family escape to a new life

Everyone is welcome. I am Muhannad. I live in a narrow alley in Gaza. I was living the best life of my life. I am married and living the best days of my life. Our life was simple. We laughed at little things, shared bread and oil, and the greatest joy was when I came home from work with sweets for my family. But unfortunately, the occupation has no mercy. It destroyed our home, our dreams, and our lives. Enough injustice. Enough oppression. We don't know where we will live. Every day we move from one place to another because of the bombing. Our life has become very difficult. The bombing was part of our daily lives, and the sound of planes was the constant background to every conversation. We first fled the bombing from our home when a rocket fell on the nearby street. Although we survived, the house was destroyed and no longer safe. We fled to the Khan Yunis area, to a house nearby. There we lived for two days in crowded conditions, without privacy, but in relative safety. Two days later, the occupation forces returned and dropped evacuation notices on us once again. Our hearts and eyes bleed with tears at the injustice they had inflicted on us. But the war was intense. For the second time, displacement became a bitter reality, and we moved to Rafah, where the heat and salty water were so intense. Despite everything, we lived with our friends. Life was difficult, but beautiful because we were close to each other.

Are these pictures of my destroyed house?

My family became extremely afraid because of the terror... and we were afraid of any loud noise.

We tried to smile, but their eyes spoke of sleeplessness, hunger, and great worry. Despite all the pressures, they remained strong... I was hiding my pain. I always told jokes to make my family laugh, and I would share bread among everyone, even if I had only a little left.

The story isn't over yet, and there's still a story even more painful than the one that's passed... There's still so much sadness left, so I'll finish it for you. After we were displaced twice, and every time I tried to start from scratch, the war would precede his steps, destroying what he'd built. After rounds of escape, we now live in a tent! Yes, a tent made of light fabric that doesn't keep out the rain, repel the cold, or protect from the terror of the planes. ⛺
The tent is located on an empty lot next to a building on the beach, and dozens of families surround us. There's no privacy, no life like home, and water is collected from a shared tank.
My little sister, who used to love drawing rainbows in her notebooks, now draws missiles and destroyed houses...
We also go to sleep to the sound of children crying, and wake up to the sounds of the call to prayer mixed with the sound of planes.
Despite everything... I would tell my family and make them simple games out of empty cola cans, telling them stories about "the beautiful Palestine that will return." He would always say, "The tent isn't the end of the story; it's a temporary respite before we return to our homes and plant a new olive tree."

A Harsh Life Preparing to build a tent

Now we don't have a home, and we're living displaced from one place to another, languishing in the cold at night and bombarded during the day. News has arrived that the situation is about to get worse...
The airstrikes aren't stopping, and people around us have begun to flee toward the border... The dream of "safety" has become simply an escape from besieged Gaza.

My family would scream at night in terror, and my body would begin to collapse from hunger and exhaustion... I had no choice but to create a GoFundMe account to collect donations to escape to Egypt to escape death. This would be expensive, but I have great hope that kind-hearted and compassionate people will stand with us, donate, and help us.
• Because We need to provide for our basic needs.
• Because we need medicine and clean drinking water.
• Because your heart is humane... and humanity knows no bounds.
• Your donation could mean life.
• Your donation is a message of hope in the midst of this darkness.

Please, kind-hearted people, stand with us, donate, and help us escape death. Donate and share.
