From Hockey battles to Cancer battles, my Nephew’s story

Carter Myra, a talented 16-year-old high-performance hockey player from Halifax, Nova Scotia, has always embodied strength, determination, and resilience. Whether skating past opponents or helping lead his team to victory, Carter's passion and grit have been nothing short of inspiring.

Now, Carter faces a new challenge off the ice with the recent diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma. This battle may not be in the rink, but it's one that Carter is approaching with the same tenacity and heart that has always defined him. Aggressive treatment has begun at the IWK and will last 8-10 months.

Through this journey, Carter is surrounded by his incredible family: his parents, Craig and Dawn, his twin brother Carson —who shares not just a love of hockey but also an unshakable bond - and his younger sister Camryn, whose unwavering support is a testament to the strength of their family. Together, they are a powerhouse of love, hope, and resilience, standing strong as Carter takes on this fight.

Carter, you’ve already proven you’re a fighter in every sense of the word. The same qualities that make you a standout hockey player—your drive, focus, and determination—will guide you through this challenge. The hockey community, your friends, family and all who admire you are rallying behind you, cheering you on every step of the way.
