I want to share my story in hopes of finding support. For years, I was in a relationship with a man I truly loved, but he ultimately left me during one of the most challenging times of my life. I faced significant losses, including my job and the strain of navigating my graduation. Instead of being there for me, he seemed to focus on his own issues and even made things worse.
Throughout our time together, I experienced both mental and verbal abuse. He cheated on me and played emotional games, and despite my efforts to communicate and work through our problems, it often felt like I was the only one trying. I expected him to be my support system, to uplift me and ensure that I was okay. Instead, it was a struggle to get him to acknowledge my feelings during a time when I really needed someone to lean on.
Now, I find myself in a difficult situation. I pride myself on being a strong and independent woman, but I need help navigating this tough period. I'm currently staying in a hotel after being evicted and having to deal with the repercussions of my past relationship. I’m trying to clear the balance and get back on my feet.
I would greatly appreciate any support from my community to help me get back on track. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
