From Heartache to Hope: Support Justin’s Medical Journey

Hello, my name is Michelle Allen, and I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart. My son, Justin Allen, is currently undergoing extensive tests at the Lena Meijer Heart Center due to a serious condition. We are facing mounting bills and need your support to ensure he gets the best care possible.

The Situation: Justin’s journey began on June 24, 2024, when he went to the Muskegon ER with chest and neck pain and a swollen area of the sternum. Despite an inconclusive diagnosis, he was released with ibuprofen, muscle relaxers, and instructions to rest. Unfortunately, the swelling and pain persisted, leading to another ER visit with the same result. Finally, on July 15, another visit to the ER in Fremont, with the same, worsening condition, this time revealed through CT imaging what appeared to be a “piece of shrapnel” but was, in fact, a “lesion.” He was immediately admitted and transferred to the Lena Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids for further tests, evaluation, and treatment. As of this date, they have not determined a diagnosis but continue to test and treat with a strong dose of IV antibiotics.

Why We Need Your Help: Justin is self-employed, relying on his daily work in landscaping, lawn maintenance, and other home services. Due to his current condition, he is unable to work, leaving him without any income. Additionally, Justin maintains my property, and with him unable to do so, I will have to hire someone to take over these responsibilities. The expenses for our family to travel from Hesperia to Grand Rapids while I look after my grandchildren as my daughter works are substantial. The costs of care, travel, food, and lost income are daunting. Your kind donations will be allocated directly to his medical bills, travel costs, and family support during this difficult period.
