From Hardship to Hope: Theodore's Animation Dream

Who Am I?

My name is Theodore Staschik (19), and I have dreamed of being an Animator since I was 7 years old. My family went through an incredible amount of hardship, ranging from death, familial betrayal, homelessness, and chronic illness. Within all this chaos, I sought refuge in the worlds created by incredible creatives, broadcasting the most heart-warming stories with important lessons of compassion, love, and forgiveness. Through these pieces, I discovered that the world is not just suffering; just as terrible as it can be, so too does it have equal potential to be beautiful. I wished more than anything to become a part of this, to spread joy to everyone.

Why I Need Help

Despite these difficulties, today, I write this with the hope that this dream can still come true. I have been attending a community college for a year, working as hard as possible, and taking classes over breaks. The truth is, I can barely afford classes right now, and I still need to go further.

My community college does not provide the courses I need to study animation, nor does it have the resources and connections that a proper university would have at its disposal. I have only four months to gather the funds I need-- without donations, my housing situation and my ability to continue my education are at risk. Without financial support, I will be unable to accomplish my dream. Every. Dollar. Counts.
