When Chef Steve first got sick, he and Jannette lost everything. Their son was deployed to Afghanistan, and their daughter was finishing high school... those two things alone were enough to push anyone to the limit. They certainly didn't need dementia to enter the picture. Things rapidly hit rock bottom. But look at them now! From homeless to helping. Grandparents and thriving! Helping this community has given them purpose and drive. Every day they roll up their sleeves, deliver amazing food to their customers... and bring smiles to the faces of those in need. From meals and visits to the elderly, driving sick residents to the doctors, putting dinner on the table for families in need, teaching a cooking class to teens in foster care... they work every day to make our village a better place. They have an opportunity to go from their kitchen into 33 S Main Street, North East... and they are taking it. They sent out 326 pay-it-forward meals in 8 months from their own kitchen... imagine how many people can be helped now! Imagine being able to eat Jannette and Steve's amazing food 7 days a week?! Bonus win for us all!
