What if every child had the chance to dream boldly, learn passionately, and shape the world into a place of limitless opportunity?
In Lira City, Uganda, too many children are forced to grow up without the opportunity to get an education. Every day, they face poverty, hardship, and limited resources, often with no hope for a better tomorrow. But together, we can change that.
The Devastating Impact of War on Education
For 22 long years, Northern Uganda was in the middle of the horrors of war. With entire communities shattered and families torn apart, a whole generation of children was robbed of their most fundamental human right—the right to education. By 2006, when the echoes of gunfire finally faded, the scars of war remained. Over 60% of schools lay in ruins, and over 250,000 children were left without any access to learning.
Today, the war has ended, but the aftermath persists. Poverty grips rural communities, and the most vulnerable children—orphans, children with disabilities, and those from struggling families—are still being left behind. Without urgent intervention, these children will be condemned to a life of hardship, with no chance to break free from the chains of poverty and no hope for a better future.
At Purewish Foundation Uganda (PWFU), we are on a mission to open a school in Lira City—a school where children will not just learn but will transform their futures. We refuse to let these children be forgotten. We are committed to restoring hope by providing access to high quality education for those who need it most. Education is more than just books and classrooms—it is the key to freedom, self-reliance, and opportunity.
We’re not just opening a school; we’re opening doors to new possibilities for generations to come.

Why This Matters. Why Now.
Right now, there are children in Lira waiting for the opportunity to step into a classroom, to escape the grip of poverty, and to change their future. Without your support, that opportunity may never come.
You can make the difference.
This school will be their beacon of hope, their chance to rise above the challenges they face. But we can’t do it alone. We need you to help us bring this vision to life—so we can create a safe space for children to grow, learn, and thrive.
The Long-Term Impact
This project is not just about the present—it is about laying the foundation for a brighter tomorrow. With your generosity, we will:
Educate 100 children by covering essential school-related costs, ensuring they have the opportunity to learn and thrive.
Improve school management and teacher training, creating sustainable and effective learning environments.
Provide vocational and technical training to children with disabilities, orphans, and vulnerable youth, equipping them with skills for self-sufficiency and long-term success.
Transparency and Accountability
At Purewish, we are fully committed to managing our funds with the highest level of responsibility. Under the leadership of our CEO and Founder, Mr. Enachu Frederick Edmos, we ensure that every donation is directly allocated to the projects and communities we serve. To maintain the trust of our supporters, we provide timely and comprehensive updates, along with detailed reports, ensuring full transparency in all aspects of our operations.
This is your moment to be part of something bigger than all of us.
We are building more than a school.
We are building futures.
We are creating possibilities, hope, and a legacy that will last for generations. Together, we can break the cycle of poverty, restore opportunity, and create long lasting change for the children of Uganda. With Uganda having one of the youngest populations in the world (more than half of the population being under the age of 18), it is one of the best regions to invest in education infrastructure. Your generosity today will shape the leaders, thinkers, and changemakers of tomorrow.
Donate today, and give the gift of education.
Your generosity will ignite the spark of possibility in a child’s life and contribute to social stability and long-term economic growth in northern Uganda
Thank you for your support!
Purewish Foundation Uganda (PWFU), established in 2014, was created to tackle the socio-economic issues in Northern Uganda, with a focus on Lira City, in the aftermath of the devastating Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency. The organization was founded to address the high rates of school dropouts, unemployment, and poverty, particularly among young people affected by the war. For more than two decades, the LRA conflict inflicted severe suffering, including the abduction, rape, and murder of thousands of children, widespread atrocities, the displacement of over 1.5 million people, and the collapse of education systems and livelihoods. These challenges resulted in extreme poverty, broken communities, and a rise in HIV/AIDS infections.
