A Heartbreaking Loss

Our family is living through a nightmare.

Just days ago, we lost our grandpa—the one who raised us, loved us, recorded every memory with his camera, told stories, and brought joy into every room. Sadly, our Mami Fina has now joined him.

Losing both of them within days has left our family shattered. Mami Fina was our matriarch—the one who held us together with love, laughter, and strength. Nino was our storyteller, memory-keeper, and protector. Together, they were the heart of our family. We fought to get Mami Fina the emergency care she needed, and while we are grateful she’s no longer in pain, we are now facing the unimaginable: planning two funerals and managing the heavy medical expenses left behind.
