Urgent Support for My Friend in Gaza

Updates (December 2024):

Dear all,
First of all, we wholeheartedly thank everyone who donated and shared this link so far, and believe us, your action, as little as it may look has all made a huge difference and instilled a tremendous amount of hope.
As you all know, the passage to get to Egypt through Rafah is close and we have not given up this aim as we do not know what the future holds. Meanwhile, the situation is always getting worst, hope tends to fade away as this genocide goes on. Food is scarce and winter is now here. We still count and rely on your generosity to face this dire and harsh condition. You make the difference, and your donations are the only shield that protect my friend from this harsh and atrocious reality. We will not give up

Dear all,

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well and are safe and sound.

My name is Aaron Alize, and I am writing here, operating this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my beloved friend Alaa from Gaza. Given his origin, you can undoubtedly understand the dire situation he, like millions, is currently enduring.

Your most welcome generosity would help bring him and his family out of horror by covering the crossing of Rafah's borders from Gaza to Egypt and providing enough support for them to settle there. Unfortunately, crossing the Rafah border involves an unimaginable cost, as it amounts to $6,000 per person, making it just out of reach. This is why we genuinely need all of you, with any contribution you can make, to be the open gates away from this indescribable violence for my dear friend and his family.

Alaa, born and raised in Gaza, have faced difficulties living decently, despite successfully graduating from university. He took a chance on paths to Europe, risking his life on land and sea numerous times to offer himself and his loved ones a better life. However, he ended up returning to Gaza as his legitimate dreams were shattered by the erecting walls of Europe. Still, he never surrendered and worked hard in Gaza every day until he could secure another opportunity for a European visa, trying his best to provide for his family and himself.

However, life turned into horror since October 7th. He has been displaced more than four times, from Gaza, where his living place was utterly destroyed by fire belts, to Zaytoun district, then under attack. He fled to Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis, and ultimately Rafah. Israel is threatening this location with an imminent ground operation, and there is literally nowhere else to go. In straightforward words, this is a dead end. Here is my friend, living in a tent, struggling every day to find food, and subjected to ferocious anxiety due to the upcoming military operation that the sounds of drones flying overhead and occasional shellings remind him constantly.

Now that you know Alaa's story, it is up to us to write the next lines of it with our contributions and by sharing. This story has never been about him or them, but about all of us collectively, standing for one another when many of our brothers and sisters in humanity needed it the most. Any contribution and share you make add another line to this story, where your wholehearted solidarity matches and confronts, if not ultimately overwhelms, terror and fury.

It is time to act, and I am begging you, with every word you have read, to stand with my friend Alaa. We need you.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or inquiries.

Thank you all. <3
