From Foster Care to District Attorney
Donation protected
Jorge was born in a rough drug and gang-infested neighborhood in Inglewood, CA. After losing his mother to breast cancer at the tender age of 5, Jorge entered to foster care system. Jorge was a troubled youth, as he passed on through multiple foster homes, group homes, and schools. At the age of 15, Jorge decided that he would become a district attorney and help change a system that he felt was broken and failing his family and closest friends.
Against all odds, Jorge graduated high school and attended El Camino Community College, earning an Associate in Science degree in Administration of Justice. California State University Fullerton and was accepted into the Guardian Scholars Program. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy with a minor in Criminal Justice. He then continued his education at Arizona State University and obtained his Master's degree in Legal Studies.
Jorge secured an internship for Supervisor Doug Chaffee of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, District 4. He received a certificate of recognition from Supervisor Chaffee. Jorge participated in several political campaigns for the California 39th congressional district and the Orange County District Attorney's office.
Today, Jorge currently works for MLG Attorneys at Law in Costa Mesa, CA. Jorge has just recently been accepted into the UCLA Paralegal Training Program. The Program and books come up to approximately $10,000. Jorge was able to save up for part of the money, but he needs our help to pay the rest.
Less than 3% of foster youth complete their education at a 4-year university. Jorge has proven that he is a unicorn. Please contribute to helping this foster youth on the road to achieving his dream of becoming a district attorney. No contribution is too small. Thank you.
