Help a Family Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire

Yesterday afternoon, my best friend and her family experienced a heartbreaking tragedy — their home was destroyed in a fire that started in the kitchen. While the exact cause is still unknown, the damage was total. Nothing inside the house could be saved.

Tragically, two of their beloved cats did not survive, and one is still fighting to breathe after needing CPR and one whose paw has been crushed from being inside of the house and was able to escape. Thankfully, the family and their dog were not home at the time and are physically safe — but they have lost everything.

They’re now facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over from scratch. They urgently need help with basic necessities: clothing, hygiene items, food, and care supplies for their dog and surviving cat.
