We are Andrés and Edwin, and over the past year we have been building Favamole, a locally-produced, legume-based spread rooted in regenerative agriculture.

Last Friday, a fire broke out next to Kitchen Republic in Amsterdam, where our office was located, spreading into the building and impacting many entrepreneurs around us.

Our office was completely lost.

Fortunately, all our Favamole stock was stored in another kitchen, so production continues. We’re still here, and we’re moving forward.

What we did lose were the tools that allow us to show up and connect with people in real life, our market setups, tasting materials, marketing assets, and equipment. Everything we use to bring Favamole beyond the jar.

Most of these were built less than a year ago, with the intention to support many years of events ahead.

The estimated loss is around €7,500-8,000

Many around us lost far more, entire kitchens and years of work. This moment is about a whole ecosystem rebuilding.

At the same time, these tools are essential for us to keep growing and sharing what we’re building.

We’re raising €7,500 to rebuild this layer and continue moving forward.

Favamole was never the office, it’s the system, the farmers, and the shift we’re part of.
