You know how there´s that super cute boy that you do not know on Facebook who shows up in the People May Know and you just go ahead and send the friend request anyway? Well, two years ago, I did that to a boy named Christian Rodriguez who lives in Mexico City.

We chatted for months and decided to meet in person for Day of the Dead. I found out he´s really not just a nice, smart guy who is fun to talk to but, also a miraculously talented artist and one of the kindest people I have ever met.

Four months later, I moved to Mexico to marry him. Nothing went wrong, I just dumbly decided not to follow through. I guess I had to learn some more about the value of having someone to love who is so deeply, truly amazing.

And here we are now. I learned my lessons and we are gonna do it!

Since I lost my job, I don´t have the funds. Thus, in lieu of wedding gifts, I would like to ask you to contribute to the fund that´ll make it all happen.

I would love nothing more than for all of you to attend the ceremony. We have not yet set a date but, you´ll know when we do. It will be as soon as we have our goal (which is actually $1000).
