On December 7th of this year, my cousins' family suffered a tragic domestic accident when their house exploded due to a gas leak. Their dad was the most affected as he was in the middle of the explosion, which caused first-degree burns on his face and hands, as well as fractures in one hand and one leg — both requiring surgery. This is in addition to the material damage their house suffered; they lost practically everything. For my young cousins, their now-injured dad is the breadwinner of the household, and with him unable to work, they have no way to cover the costs of his recovery.
