From EF Santa Barbara to Physics in Prague!

Hi everyone,

My name is Christopher Garcia, and for the past two years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of serving as the Activities Manager at EF Santa Barbara, creating unforgettable experiences for international students from around the world. As this beautiful chapter comes to a close, I am ready to return to my first passion: Physics.

Having received my Physics Bachelors at UCSB, I wish to continue my studies in Europe, beginning with the Foundation Program in Engineering and IT at Charles University in Prague. This year-long intensive program will help me build fluency in Czech from scratch and prepare for the entrance exams to Czech universities, all in the Czech language. My ultimate goal is to earn my Master’s and PhD in Physics.

Studying in Europe to me means reuniting with lifelong friends, and building a future close to the people who have shaped my life in unforgettable ways. It also means continuing my love for traveling, exploring new cultures, connecting with people from all over the world, and most importantly spreading smiles, laughter, and love everywhere I go. But this dream comes with financial challenges I can’t meet alone.
