Hi, my name is Anastasia. I’m 17 years old (will be 18 on August 28th which is why it says organized for Arial) and I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to attend Tarleton State University this fall, where I plan to major in Construction Management and Science. This moment means everything to me because, for most of my life, it didn’t even feel like a possibility.

I grew up with dreams that had to stay small, tucked away within the walls of our reality. I was taught, not by words but by circumstances, that dreaming too far was a luxury reserved for those who were fortunate enough. For years, I watched doors open for others while my family did their best to keep our own world steady, day by day.

But even in silence, my dreams never died. Instead, they learned patience. I’ve waited for this moment, for a chance like this.

Today, I stand at the edge of something I never thought I’d be able to reach: a future I can build for myself. A future where I no longer have to wonder “what if,” but instead live out the “what’s next.” I’m determined to pursue this degree, not only for me but for my family, the ones who have helped me and guided me towards the path I walk now and for the life I’ve always hoped for. One without constant financial strain, one full of purpose and independence.

I’m currently trying to raise $18,900 to cover 4 years of college fees and tuition, while asking for help has never been easy, I know this is something worth fighting for. I’ve come so far, but I can’t do this part alone. I might not be able to reach the full goal but I will continue to be grateful for every bit contributed.
