Hi, my name is Chris Bendon, and I’m raising funds to support Kidney Care UK, a charity that provides vital help to people affected by kidney disease.

My journey with kidney failure began unexpectedly and painfully. Following a misdiagnosis, my health deteriorated rapidly, and I was eventually identified as having kidney failure. It was a frightening and overwhelming time. I had to start dialysis, which brought major changes to my daily life, health, and emotional well-being.

After a challenging period on dialysis, I was incredibly fortunate to receive a kidney transplant—a moment that truly changed my life. While I’m deeply grateful for this second chance, I know that many others are still fighting this battle every day.

That’s why I’m passionate about supporting Kidney Care UK. They’ve been a lifeline for thousands of families like mine, offering emotional support, financial assistance, and practical advice through the darkest times. They help people navigate the complexities of treatment and recovery, and most importantly, they ensure no one feels alone in their kidney journey.

The funds raised will go directly towards helping Kidney Care UK continue their incredible work—supporting patients, raising awareness, and advocating for better care across the UK.
