My name is Othman, a young Palestinian from Gaza, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart, desperately seeking your support in our time of need. The relentless horrors of war have shattered my family, including my mother, father, seven brothers, two sisters, and more than 15 grandchildren. We lived in a six-story building that now lies in ruins. We were forced to abandon our homes, relocating under duress and threat from the north to the south of Gaza. We fled our homes with nothing but the clothes on our backs, enduring scorching summers and harsh winters.

Our suffering is immense, especially for the children. The population is densely packed, with severe shortages of food, water, and electricity. Basic necessities have become luxuries.

Amidst unimaginable hardship, my brother's mission to welcome new life has transformed into an unbearable battle. Forced to endure the ninth month of pregnancy in displacement, his wife Aya bravely brought my nephew, Amir, into this world amidst bombings. However, the circumstances they now face threaten the health and well-being of both mother and child, surpassing all limits.

We had hoped to celebrate the arrival of our precious nephew, but the harsh reality is that those smiles are fading. The urgency is not limited to the new baby alone and grandchildren; even the vitality of my precious grandchildren are being severely tested. The weight of the situation is further heightened by the fact that my beloved parents, who have endured a lifetime of hardship including being war prisoners, are now in their sixties and their strength to overcome these challenges is fading. They are no longer able to bear the burden alone.

It is with heavy hearts and a sense of urgency that we find ourselves compelled to launch this fundraising campaign. Our home, which consisted of eight apartments, has been completely devastated. Five of these apartments require $70,000 each for reconstruction, while the other three have suffered partial destruction and need $30,000 each for repairs.

Returning home is currently a daunting task, as it requires substantial resources for the rebuilding process. However, we hold onto hope that, by the time the necessary funds are raised, the situation in Gaza may have improved, allowing us to begin the reconstruction of our homes. Nevertheless, we must also be prepared for the possibility that circumstances may worsen, in which case migration to Egypt becomes a viable option. It is important to note that migrating to Egypt would entail registration fees of $5000 USD per person. Our ultimate goal remains to rebuild our homes and lives in Gaza, but we must consider alternative paths if the situation demands it.

As I look into the eyes of my precious nieces and nephews, my heart aches with sadness for the challenges they face. But I refuse to lose hope. I believe in a future where their dreams can come true, where they can laugh, learn, and grow without the weight of hardship holding them back. Your support is the only hope they have of the love and opportunity they deserve, giving them a chance to soar and make their dreams come alive.
