Urgent Appeal: Help us escape the genocide on Gaza

I'm reaching out on behalf of my friend from Gaza who is seeking to escape the ongoing war there. All contributions will directly support Mohammed and his family. Your support, no matter the amount, can make a significant difference in rebuilding their lives. Thank you for considering to help.

Dear Friends,

I'm writing to you with a heavy heart, seeking your support for my family and me during this dire time on Gaza.

My name is Mohammed, a 21-year-old student of banking and financial sciences and a Palestinian artist (Dabka Performer). We are a family of eight, currently in Gaza, including my dedicated parents, two sisters, two brothers, and one nephew.

Since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, we've endured unimaginable hardship. Forced to flee with only identifiable documents, we've witnessed indiscriminate destruction, death, and constant bombardment. Our once peaceful home in Gaza has been severely destroyed. My father never hesitated to invest in our education, and it has always been a priority for us, However, due to the genocide on Gaza, my family has lost their income sources, and myself and my siblings Sondos and Ahmed was not able to complete our bachelor’s degrees.

Living under occupation was never easy, but we were grateful for what we had. Now, we're displaced, struggling for food and clean water, with prices skyrocketing (more than X10 times the normal) beyond our reach. The toll on our emotional and psychological well-being is immeasurable.

Every day in Gaza brings the terrifying reality of not surviving the next bombing. We've tried to stay, but it's become unbearable. We ran out of options and our only hope now is to evacuate, but we lack the means to do so.

Breakdown of the funds:

• It costs $5000 to evacuate an adult and $2500 for a child. These fees have been made public in late Jan 2024. So, to cross Rafah, we need in total $37,500, an amount far beyond our affordability.

• $5000 to help with urgent relocation needs, affordable accommodation and living expenses for 2-3 months until we manage to find a source of family income.

• This makes it a total of $42,500 (roughly €39,200)

At this point we aim to raise €12,000.

Je m'appelle Mohammed, j'ai 21 ans et j'étudie les sciences bancaires et financières. Je suis également un artiste palestinien (danseur de Dabka). Nous sommes une famille de huit personnes, actuellement à Gaza, comprenant mes parents, deux sœurs, deux frères et un neveu.

Maintenant, nous sommes déplacés, luttant pour de la nourriture et de l'eau propre, avec des prix qui montent en flèche (plus de X10 fois le prix normal) et hors de notre portée. Le fardeau sur notre bien-être émotionnel et psychologique est incommensurable.

Chaque jour à Gaza nous rappelle la terrifiante réalité de ne pas survivre au prochain bombardement. Nous avons essayé de ne pas quitter mais la situation devenait intenable. Nous avons épuisé nos options et notre seul espoir maintenant est d'évacuer, mais nous n'avons pas les moyens de le faire.

Répartition des fonds:

• Il coûte 5000 $ pour évacuer un adulte et 2500 $ pour un enfant. Pour traverser Rafah, nous avons besoin de 37,500 $, un montant bien au-delà de nos moyens.

• 5000 $ pour aider aux besoins urgents de relocalisation, au logement abordable et aux dépenses de subsistance pendant 2 à 3 mois jusqu'à ce que nous parvenions à trouver une source de revenu familial.

• Cela fait un total de $42,500 (environ €39,200)

À ce stade, nous visons à amasser 12,000€.
