My name is Ernest Bashikako, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for your support during an incredibly difficult season for my family.

On July 9th, 2025, a severe storm caused a large tree to crash onto our home in Chester, VA. We were all inside at the time, and our youngest daughter was sleeping right beneath the area where the tree hit. By God’s grace, no one was hurt, and for that, we are deeply thankful.

The damage to our home, however, was devastating. The aftermath has turned our lives upside down. It has now been several months since the accident, and we are still unable to return home. As we face spending the holidays away from the place where we’ve built so many memories, the reality has been painful and overwhelming.

We’ve created this GoFundMe because we’re doing everything we can to rebuild, but the road ahead is more than we can walk alone. Your support will directly help us restore our home and bring our family back together.

The funds will be used to help cover:

Painting and interior repairs in the areas of the home that still need to be restored.

Basic rebuilding essentials so our kids can return to a stable, comfortable living environment.

Any contribution — no matter the amount — brings us one step closer to stability, healing, and home.
