Help Us Bring “The Little Sous Chefs” to Life — A Children’s Book by a Girl Dad & His Daughters

Two years ago, my life changed in the most unexpected way—I became a dad almost overnight.

People who know our story often say, “Those girls needed you.”

But truthfully, I needed them.

Wyntr and Pashion came into my life when we were all hurting, all in need of something deeper than words: unconditional love. They were the unexpected blessings I didn’t know I was praying for. They didn’t just give me a new purpose—they gave me back my joy. Because of them, I started dreaming again. I started a business. I fell back in love with food.

That love for food became our bond.

I started bringing them into the kitchen with me—cooking dinner, prepping snacks, laughing, tasting, learning. Pashion? She’s an adventurous eater who loves almost everything. Wyntr? Not so much. She became my tiny food critic, challenging me to make healthy meals that tasted like the comfort foods we all love. And that challenge sparked something big.

That’s how “The Little Sous Chefs” was born.

I didn’t just want to write a cookbook—I wanted to tell our story.

This children’s book follows two imaginative sisters, Pashion and Wyntr, who spend a magical day with their loving dad, simply known as Chef. From flipping veggie-packed pancakes and dancing in the living room to exploring the farmer’s market and local bakery, their day is filled with food, laughter, and love.

Through these moments, Chef teaches his girls the joy of trying new things, the magic of cooking with love, and how creating meals can be its own kind of adventure. The story ends the way every great day should: with bedtime snuggles, full bellies, and dreams sprinkled with sugar and imagination.

But this book doesn’t stop at the story.

It ends with a mini cookbook—written from the girls’ perspective—featuring kid-friendly recipes inspired by their day. These are real dishes families can make together, designed to spark joy, creativity, and connection in the kitchen.

This is more than a book. It’s a love letter from a dad to his daughters.

And I believe it’s a story that any parent—or especially any girl dad—can relate to. A reminder that some of the best things in life happen when we slow down, share a meal, and dream big together.

Funds raised will go toward getting the book fully illustrated and published. And here’s the part that means the most to me: proceeds from book sales will go directly to my daughters—toward their college, their dreams, and whatever future they choose.

Everything I do is to ensure these girls have everything they need—and so much more. This book is just one way I’m building something lasting for them.
