The first woman in Cyprus to grow coffee – for a sustainable, Cypriot espresso!

My name is Agni, I am 24 years old, Cypriot artist and a coffee lover. Coming from an island where tradition and the land have a soul, I dream of creating the first coffee farm on the island — a farm that will combine sustainability, innovation and the aroma of the Mediterranean.

I want to show that coffee can be grown in Cyprus too — with respect for nature and our land. To offer locally produced coffee, to inspire young people to innovate in the agricultural sector, and to supply my own ‘Social Roastery’ with authentic, Cypriot coffee.

My first step is to create a small pilot farm of 50 Arabica trees. I will test how they adapt to the climatic conditions of Cyprus and document the process to inspire others.

The money will go towards coffee plants, irrigation equipment, soil improvement, and a small roaster for the first production samples. I want to do every step right, with respect and a dream.

Η πρώτη γυναίκα στην Κύπρο που καλλιεργεί καφέ – για έναν βιώσιμο, κυπριακό εσπρέσο!

Ονομάζομαι Αγνή, είμαι 24 ετών, Κύπρια καλλιτέχνης και λάτρης του καφέ. Προερχόμενη από ένα νησί όπου η παράδοση και η γη έχουν ψυχή, ονειρεύομαι να δημιουργήσω το πρώτο αγρόκτημα καφέ στο νησί — ένα αγρόκτημα που θα συνδυάζει τη βιωσιμότητα, την καινοτομία και το άρωμα της Μεσογείου.

Θέλω να δείξω ότι ο καφές μπορεί να καλλιεργηθεί και στην Κύπρο — με σεβασμό στη φύση και τη γη μας. Να προσφέρω καφέ τοπικής παραγωγής, να εμπνεύσω τους νέους να καινοτομήσουν στον γεωργικό τομέα και να προμηθεύσω το δικό μου «Κοινωνικό Καβούρδισμα» με αυθεντικό, κυπριακό καφέ.

Το πρώτο μου βήμα είναι να δημιουργήσω ένα μικρό πιλοτικό αγρόκτημα 50 δέντρων Arabica. Θα δοκιμάσω πώς προσαρμόζονται στις κλιματικές συνθήκες της Κύπρου και θα καταγράψω τη διαδικασία για να εμπνεύσω και άλλους.

Τα χρήματα θα διατεθούν για φυτά καφέ, εξοπλισμό άρδευσης, βελτίωση εδάφους και ένα μικρό καβούρδισμα για τα πρώτα δείγματα παραγωγής. Θέλω να κάνω κάθε βήμα σωστά, με σεβασμό και ένα όνειρο.
